I didn’t want to quit,But as i got old,I reached down inside,All the way to my soul..45 a ripe old age,If i’d have continued,I’d be in a grave..A little too hard,Even the bourbon itself,. dank every time,Because it wasthere on the shelf..Always a little,and yet a little more,little a little,I wound up on the floor..A drink to be saidis a mans own choice,So quit in time,And i bet you’ll rejoice..Such a turnover,But not all my own,I reached out to god,While i was alone..AA is great i gotta admit,And without ol HP,Your not going to quit..Tho the glory be to god,You feel it tho,as he is real,u gotta know..Ask him for yourself,And be totally true,You can’t quit for me,And i didn’t quit for you….
