Is your Dad o k? 👨
Sadly mine has passed
away,
He passed rather
Young, when his old age
was just begun,
No rocking chair age for him,
he sat at the Lake, but not for
a swim.
Cheers and beers,
without many fears,
relaxing was his aim,
he played the guitar and he
would sing
Earlier in life he Wanted to be a
Country singer, to play the
guitar and others would join in
there.
He would take Bobby
McGee and Clayton Delaney,
others joined in and would
sing to the many,
He was good as it too,
and would even sing to you,
He’d hold out His hand,
and he’d even do it again,
Tom Jones and Meryl Haggard
to name just a few, If they
heard him, they would learn
something new.
He was a good person and
especially a father, for he loved
his children that others knew
not to bother.
Dad was the most humble man,
And would always extend a
helping hand.
All his kids loved him so
much, and knew he was to
trust.
I’ve told him things about
myself, things i’d rather
Leave on the shelf.
But he knew what to say and
what to do, and he’d always
tell us the truth.
Sometimes it just feels good
To be totally understood,
Dad did it all the time,
almost as though he could read
our mind.
Mom and him didn’t
make it all the way, As they
separated and when different
Ways. Now Dad is passed, he’s
in Heaven singing, picking and
Having a blast.
